Thursday 21st November - walks ** – Around Felixstowe – Sunny
periods cold:(.
Our son arrived from Devon on the train last night for my Dads celebration
of his life and had a lovely catch up with him. Today Mag and I walked to
Flyer press to pick up the booklet Mag had put together for this afternoons
wake and joly good it was too, top marks to Flyer press:) We then walked
through the town centre and down to the seefront as the sun appeared above
a bank of cloud and watched a Jay picking acorns from a tree in the pram
walk. Along the chilly prom and home to get ready for the afternoons due at
the Railway pub at Westerfield. Mag, Robert and I arrived early to discover
we were in a lovely room at the back of the pub ith sunshine coming though
the row of patio doors, we set up the photos Mag had put together and put
white cyclamens on the table. About 30 people attended including people we
had not seen for many years. Dan and and Jay arrived with Maeva and after a
quiet start she warmed to the occasion:) We had the most wonderful relaxed
afternoon started at 2.15 and ending at 7 with my sister Sharon and her
daughter Sophie did a wonderful job of the catering, if anyone wants a due
catered check out Jess Catering! It was a great way to celebrate my Dads 94
years on what would have been his 95th Birthday, just perfect:)
